According to recent Ofgem study, electric vehicle (EV) owners are three times more likely to say they are on a time of use tariff than those who do not own an EV. The regulator discovered that EV owners are "more open" to accepting improvements in how they use energy.

The Intercontinental Exchange hosted the first auction for the UK Emissions Trading Scheme on Thursday 19 May, between 12:00 – 14:00. The auction sold all 6,052,000 allowances available for purchase at a price of £43.99/t. 14 bids were successful out of a total of 15 bidders.
