View the results of a 2011 to 2012 user survey. We took into account the views of users and released ‘Business Population Estimates for the UK and Regions’. It provides more timely and reliable estimates of the number of businesses in the UK using a new methodology.

These documents show that we recognise the importance of talking with users of the business population estimates (BPE) publication. This helps us ensure that:

  • they are well informed about the statistics they are using
  • their views are taken into account
