Policy paper: Community energy strategy update

By HM Government

This update sets out the progress since publication of the original Community Energy Strategy in 2014. It describes the key areas of action for the sector over the next 12-24 months to drive further progress.

The implementation of the Community Energy Strategy will help underpin the diversification of the current centralised energy system to a much more distributed approach, whereby local people have more control of and a stake in how energy is generated and supplied, and how their community’s energy demand can be managed and reduced.
