Open consultation: Implementing Geological Disposal: Working with Communities

By HM Government

Following its commitment in chapter 7 of the Implementing Geological Disposal White Paper, DECC has engaged external support by convening a Community Representation Working Group (CRWG) to develop practical approaches for working with communities in the siting of a geological disposal facility (GDF).

The purpose of this call for evidence is to draw together evidence and information on the issues of community representation, community investment and the test of public support. Evidence submitted will be used to help the CRWG develop policy proposals for how each of these areas will work in practice during the siting process.

The closing date for submission of responses is 4 September 2015. Responses can be returned by email (preferable) or post.
