From the 17th of June, NPower will be increasing a typical dual fuel energy bill by an average of 5.3% for over one million (40%) domestic energy customers. Npower has stated that the price increase is due to a rise in wholesale costs and Government taxes. Customers who are on fixed-term energy deals, who have a Prepayment meter or on Safeguard tariffs will not be affected by the changes.

Energy and Clean Growth Minister Claire Perry has given businesses that are working towards future UK hydrogen economy a boost of £20 million in a Hydrogen Supply programme. This was announced during a visit to Swindon’s Hydrogen Hub and Recycling Technologies.
