Scottish Power, is a vertically integrated energy company with its headquarters in Glasgow, Scotland. It was listed on the London Stock Exchange and was once a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index but in 2006 it became a subsidiary of the Spanish utility Iberdrola. It is the Distribution Network Operator (DNO) for the central and southern Scotland and the Merseyside and North Wales regions. It is also the Transmission Owner (TO) for the south of Scotland. British Energy, British Energy delisted from the London Stock Exchange on 3 February 2009 and is now part of EDF Energy. The combination of EDF Energy and British Energy forms one of the UK’s largest energy companies. The combined business is the UK’s biggest producer of electricity and together provides power to a quarter of the country’s population. With a current installed capacity of around 16.5GW, it supplies gas and electricity to over 5.5 million business and residential customers from our nuclear, coal and gas power stations, as well as combined heat and power plants and wind farms. |

Haven Power, iLaunched in 2006 specifically to serve the electricity needs of small to medium sized business customers and provide an alternative to the large multinational power suppliers Haven has grown significantly. Now employing over 300 staff and with a turnover in excess of £100million the business has gone from strength to strength. In early 2009 Haven Power was acquired by Drax Power Limited, one of the UK's largest generation groups. With the financial backing of Drax, Haven Power has grown its SME business and established a team who specifically serve the large I&C customer sector. Following this move the company's customer base has expanded significantly and now includes some of the UK's leading business names.

Bizz Energy, is a highly competitive, leading-edge, licensed supplier of electricity to the sub 100 kW and Half Hourly metered markets. BizzEnergy was founded by highly regarded industry experts and is run by a dynamic team of energy sector professionals. We run all operations in-house, including our Ofgem accredited, state-of-the-art registration and multi-site billing system.
Bizz Energy ceased trading in 2008. All customers were acquired by British Gas.
